Ya know...I'd probably try something dumb like that if it weren't for having watched video of that group that tried this off the Bay Bridge (?) and the cable broke dropping them right into the water.

Cool for you having steel testiculars though! :greg:

yep hurricane, I think there is another bridge over by virgin too that you can swing off? One of my buddies strap broke and he fell 40 ft! I dont know how but he landed perfect and only had minor internal bleeding and bruising. No breaks.

If I ever had any internal bleeding, there's no way I'd consider it 'minor' :ugh: Crazy about your buddy though, I take it he didn't land feet first?

I think I'd have to pass on the bridge swinging, I'm too old for that crap nowadays.

While up in AK, some kids thought it would be funny to swing off the bridge while the rafters were going by.. kid lines up.. lets go, flys within feet of the rafts, slams in to the mountain..

the video was funny as hell.

I've repelled off of some crazy stupid heights, but I've never flung myself off of a cliff with a slack rope before! :wtf:
I bow to your much lower intellect.

I'd still do it :cody:

That was about 6 years and 40 lbs ago. That was before all the beer started catching up to me.

So, help me out here, how long was the rope? After you swung out, how did you get back down? Looks like a riot, but my rope swing days ended at the tree swing in Lake Canyon (Hole in the Rock) when I ate sh!t off it into the bottom of the canyon.

seems like the rope was 300 feet....? you ended up about 20 feet from the ground and just repelled to the ground and hiked back up.

if you went 2 at a time, the 2nd person had to go right on the heels of the first or else you would collide at the bottom.

Sounds cool as hell...I would want a backup rope though for my spare tire I pack around.
