I was renewing my registration on one of my vehicles and was wondering if anyone has looked into whether it is in our best interest to donate the $2 to this?

This was a huge push by USA-ALL to get this on the vehicle registration forms. To my knowledge, I don't think the money has ever been "retrieved". Legislative projections thought it might generate $7K/year as I remember reading at the time. Not sure where the money reverts to if it isn't used in the same calendar year. I'm sure someone from USA-ALL could fill in the details. I'd be interested to get an update on this issue.

Sorry, I did not see this earlier. Yes some of the money has been retrieved from the registration fund.

Well cool, it'd be great to hear about it. How much, the project it was used for, etc. Sounds like a GOOD story that you should try and put out there.

I always thought it helped pay for the "trail closed" signs.. so of course I don't donate

Nothing to report yet since they have not cut the check yet. It has just been requisitioned by Scott.
