Is that the rocks at the end of Murdock Basin or Norway Flats??? Both of the trails leading in are open

Not 100% sure about that... we (U4WDA) held a run up Norway Flat with similar "rock gardens" near the end ~4 years ago. We had a permit with the USFS to run trails and have a "competion" at the end... so there was no issue when we did it. It would be best to check with the FS but I am betting the answer would be no based on the sole reason they don't show it on their maps (their default answer book
)The rocks at the end of Norway are pretty nasty, I have some pics somewhere of them. Craig S. came up and set up a decent course for folks to run, the winners got a free entrance to a UROC comp. As I recall Kenzie (sp?) Beard and Shawn McSweeney were the winners for the day

Hmmm... So the FS has approved use of the rocks in the past. The road kinda leads you right into those rocks. Who's to say where the road really stops?

We live an hour and 45 away from Farmington, it's such a great place!! The biggest plus is that aside from comp days, the place is deserted for the most part.
No waiting in line.

Yup, but things have really tightened up in the last 3-4 years as OHV use has exploded and all forests in the state have been revising and tightening their motorized travel plans.
There is another similar area on the other side of the mountain in Weber Canyon, there is a great little spot that the road litteral crosses. If you move a couple of feet on either side of the road your in some big rocks.
Its something worth looking into if you like playing in car sized rocks
, I like my sheetmetal... if there isn't something at the other end of the trail (ie a mine, cabin, lake, etc.) you likely won't see me trying to get there More power to those that have the rigs to get there though
