And probably a Borla header. I'm going to be scanning the ForSale boards for all this stuff (with exception of the tires, and rack, which are on their way) So if anyone has a lineup on any of this. I'm buying
Dude, you really need to go more than 3". Cherokees don't even look lifted untill you get to about 6". And on top of that the tuff kits aren't that good for cherokees. They flex like crap. If you're going to spend as much money on that jeep as you're planning you might as well buy a decent lift.
Actually I was going to attach the cold air pipe to the snorkel. I thought the Tuff Country lift was supposed to be really good. I did a 6.5" lift on our Samurai and that was the biggest pain in the arse and I'd rather not do that again. Basically I'm looking to do some mild wheeling, I'm going to have my 3 kids with me so anything hardcore just isn't a good idea. I'd hate to have them sit on the sidelines while I go do hardcore stuff. I don't want them to feel left out If the tuff country lift isn't any good for the Cherokee which one is?
I saw a 3" Skyjacker lift on an XJ and it looked pretty good even with 31's. Tuff Country makes a 3.5" What makes the Tuff lift not very good for the XJ?
This is the lift that Moabrats dad has on his XJ. We took it to Moab a while back and I got to drive the XJ. I was pretty impressed with the ride and it flexed fairly good. I think that this is a pretty good lift for mild wheelin/daily drivin.
But like everyone else said, 31's stuff pretty good offroad. He runs 32's on the street with some bling bling rims. I would not hesitate to do the Tuff Country lift.
well the Tuff Country stuff is lack luster at best...I have it on my 85...rides like a rock...nicer shocks may help a little but I have never had sore kidneys untill I drove that Jeep for a full day...it uses blocks in the rear and new springs up front, I also have the era budget boost kit on it and I run 32 but it is strictly a street machine...like Wayne said, I feel Rubicon Express is one of the best bolt on kits around...it may be a little more money but as I have always said, with lift kits you usually get what you pay for...skip the tuff country, IMO
