One last Snowmobile Trip

So I went sledding one last time Monday. We went to Tony Grove. Here is a pic of me I thought you all might enjoy crossing White Pine Lake.

Thanks, it was my first time across open water. It was quite a trip...my heart was pounding the first time I went. My sled has less then 500 miles on it

Nice...I used to backpack in to White Pine. My first sled crossing was about 100 yards in the Uintas. My second crossing ended in pulling my sled out of 2 feet of water near the shore. I got scared because the bank was too steep. Still fun but none of my buddies wanted to get wet so I had to pull it to shore before they helped me. Once the clutchs and belt dried, I was good except for the soggy boots.

I think I would have been nervous if it was 100 yards...50 ft was bad enough

.......Used to ride up and down the river on sleds. It was easier to do with the flatter tracks. the big paddles mover too much water. I have a video of me on a kneeboard behind an old mid 90's Indy Storm (old school by today standards) GOing up and down the river at Macks Inn in Island Park. That was a cold day!

I actually saw some guys jumping off of a boat dock with a passenger on the back running up the Henrys.

Yes, and that would be a good idea . It was just for the picture she won't let me have one (something to do with me being clinically insane ) but I was impressed when after the pictures she asked me if she could shoot it and hit a skeet that was laying on the ground 15 feet away. That's my Dad's pistol...an old 22 from his youth.

I love to take pictures and my wife is kind enough to indulge me as a model most of the time. It works much better than me hanging out at high schools and asking around for models .

Thats funny but I have a friend that got 6 months of hard time in the county slammer and on a list for a long time and he didn't even go that far.

My wife wants me to teach her how to shoot a pistol. Lets see....My personality(which used to be cute when we were dating and is now annoying), her monthly period, a crazy day with the kids or her family and one of my few friends or relatives will be posting a link to my obituary here. I love life no way in hell I'm showing her.

We were shooting skeet on Memorial day and my wife took a turn with my semi auto and hit like 4 in a row. I jokingly said, "Remind me not to give you a gun when your mad at me" and she looked at me dead in the eyes and said,"your just lucky I don't know how to load it" lol

So I guess this is the real lesson, teach them to shoot, just in case but don't teach them to load

Seriously though, riding a snowmobile on water... cool to watch, but sleds are a pricey toy to watch sink
