Oh, you are a wicked monkey! Why don't you run something else since Friday will be a shorter day and save Coyote for Sunday cuz I should would love to run it with you. :hickey: I seriously doubt we'll be there by noon. At this point I'm just hoping my husband makes it home. As of 11:30 tonight he was to his hotel after having rewired all his trailer lights to include the cable trailer he is towing behind his gooseneck and having put the spare tire on said gooseneck after a blow-out. It could be a long week. I am in the process though of allocating another trailer in case mine isn't home in time. Do you think it's grounds for divorce to go wheeling without your husband when he loves his rig almost as much as his wife?

He'll pull through! I know it. :D

Coyote on Sunday does sound nicer...

Define "hemorrhaged". Like just spewed a bunch out in a fit of rage or trans is on death's doorstep and start saying the last rites?

It's still functioning properly, but it lost quite a bit of oil.

I had the K5 standing pretty close to straight up and down so I'm hoping it was just coming out the vent line, I'm going to look for cracks tomorrow.

That is a bit of oil. What a cool climb though! It would stand to reason that oil would come out of the vent line at such an extreme angle, so hopefully that's all it is. Out of idle curiousity, is "K5" the name of your rig or is that what it is? And if so, what exactly is a K5?

K5 is what Chev called full size Blazers

K for 4x4.... 5 for blazer, 10 for half ton etc

That side is usually pretty steep, but I took a slightly different line and had it standing way up.

Well I found the leak (I think) and the source of the new noise my tcase started making last month.... 3 of the 4 bolts that connect the tranny to the tcase adapter were several turns loose. The 4th one? Good question, I don't know where it went. That was 5 hours I hadn't planed on....

And the moral of this story is...you're ready for Moab? :D

I'm on track to be ready for Moab. I was able to move my Saturday morning work to Friday morning so I won't have any trouble making it to Moab on time..... assuming I don't get stopped for not wearing my seat belt or something stupid.

Super-de-duper! I am sort of on track. My sugar daddy is working out of town for the week and that has thrown a real kink into my world. I had hoped he would be home tonight, but due to multiple issues, he's not finished with the job so no husband or trailer as of yet. At this point, he'll hopefully be home before Friday morning and we'll get our junk together and hit the road. Worse case scenerio is us leaving at the butt crack of dawn on Saturday and driving straight to the trail. There's also the option of me using my feminine wiles to connive a borrowed trailer and just doing it by myself. I'm horribly frightened of that drop on Rusty Nail, but things to worry about later.

Drop on Rusty Nail? You mean that "no left turn" obstacle? There's really nothing at all to that. Don't worry about it.

Yes and Yes. There really is something to it contrary to popular belief. I can't even watch people drive down it, let alone be the one in the driver's seat. That's me looking petrified, by the way.
