Cool little car! I've always secretly wanted one as well... I think they're pretty cool lookin'! But I've never seen the interior - I like it!

As a turn of events, the jeep build has put a hold on buying parts for the mini. I've been looking for a good cat-back system for it and most seem to run around 600.00. Pretty steep for such a small car!

In the meantime, I still wanted a little more sound out of it and stumbled onto the "lance armstrong" mod. After a trip to see fritz at meineke, the mini sounded like it should of without being too ricey. It also allows me to store a mini-spare in the future if needed.

Here's how it works:

LOL "one ball in effect"

Nice, Goat. I still think you should autocross it. Why fight the inevitable?

Actually, Jenn has autocrossed in the past and has been hinting that she wants to get it out to miller park. I'm totally game for that when it happens, which will have to wait until december;)

Finally bought some 18s for "hermini" (winston as she calls it). Next up will be some Koni yellows, coils and swaybars:cool:

I love the old minis and stumbled across this site one day.

http://www.superfastminis.com/AWD_MINI.htm

I loved it so much I bookmarked it and check back from time to time. One of these day I want to build a Super Fast Mini. It would make the most awesome commuter.

The new ones are cool too. There is a lot to be said about "features" and SAFETY.

The 1st gen minis were always my dream car. Then a few years ago I bought one, a '74. It was super fun because of the unique factor, but it felt like a death trap on wheels. I felt safer on a motorcycle. I autocrossed it once, and it was fun, but my Miata is 10x more fun, and feels way safer. Owning that car was good for me, because I had owned my dream car, drove it around for 6 months, and got it out of my system. I still love those old minis, but I don't have any desire to own another one. The new minis on the other hand... those would be a blast to own. What kind of MPG do you get out of your mini?
