PAINT GURUS- acrylic spray paint?

i am painting some tubular inner fenders i made, i decided to try something new, i bought some of this, it seems to spray freaking nicely, and cover better than the other rattle-cans i have. being that it is acrylic, seeing as how one is oil base, and the other is acrylic. am i going to see any adhesion/lifting issues with spraying this on top of this:





also, what is the intended use for acrylic spray paint? how does it differ from oil base spray paints? (other than the fact it has a different base) is it harder? does it spray better? stick to some surfaces better than others?

these will not really see sunlight because they are inside my fenders, hopefully they won't oxidize too fast. i could probably spray some acrylic clear coat on top of it to slow it down even further i imagine

you used the brush on "clean metal primer", with the spray on acrylic enamel too? i thought i picked an uncommon route to go with. i wanted to reall be able to lay the primer on thick, and a brush usually does that well. that's why i didn't do a ratte-can primer, which never seems to lay the primer on thick enough without running.

that was my original plan ( i bought the primer, and oil-gloss black in quart cans) my whole frame, interior pieces, and other random parts are all the gloss black oil base in a can, brushed on. it self-levels to a finish that looks sprayed on, i used the clean metal formula because it was all new material, that was sanded with 100 grit (wire-wheeled on the welds), and wiped thoroughly with acetone....it was decidedly "clean". but it took me 2 hours to sand/prep/clean it, and 2 hours to lay the primer on such a multi-faceted, angular, tubular part that in order to meet my deadline i decided to spray the paint coat on. i had a few cans of this acrylic i bought to try out sitting on the shelf, it was 2:00 am last night and said "what the hell, lets try it", 20 minutes later it was sprayed, brush would have been 2 hours.

normally i would use the brush, with the gloss oil-base. but at 2:00 am, with work the next morning you weigh your options you know?
