Paint

Guys guys guys he is not rattle canning it, which sucks super bad and will kill your finger from holding it down, he is not going to Crapo because they suck and you all know it, they use super cheap paint and only do 2 base and 2 clear thats like the bare min, and rollering it can work but it wont look factory which is what he is going for, i used to work at a couple body shops and if you want it done right you need a good painter and not a commerical deal

Just buy the paint, and get a gun and come down for the weekend, but do it fast before they start taking apart the hanger.

Hot Rod magazine did an article on how to paint a car with a roller. It actuall turned out really nice looking. The big thing was to just take your time on the prep, then just put on coat after coat until you get it fairly thick. Then they wet sanded and buffed it all out like you would on most hot rods any way and it turned out pretty damn slick.

I saw this as well, I'd have to admit. I was surprised how well it turned out.

thanks beardy but im not trying to sound like a jerk but i did i simply ment he wanted a nice job for cheap and everyone kept saying to do it crappy ways

You could always do what Xtreme 4x4 did on the big bobbed duece and a half. Buy some paint, and an electric spray gun, and do it yourself. I have been thinking about it for when I re paint my truck. That or rattle can is what I will be doing. If you take your time and do good prep work, you could make rattle can look good.

Fast, good, cheap, pick one...

Rolling it on will cost you at least twice as much in materials as you'd be sanding more than 50% back of to make it smooth and then do you own a polisher? Magazine articles are well.... for entertainment. If you really think you're getting a near show finish just because you buffed it smooth you've been to too many Utah car shows.
