Paragon Land News/This could happen out west.
I just seen this. We @ team Shark Attack think all of the west team & offroad friends need to help out our wheeling friends out in Paragon. This could happen out here, in the West at anytime. Like Kyle & Stephanie said there is not much we all can do to help, But we can all started writing letters to the land owner & getting the word out. From what I have read Paragon had a 25 year lease on the land and they are just into there lease 3 years. We will be posting update, here on the Pirate and at all of team shark attack website,Myspace pages & Forum. WE ask all the other team that have website do the same.

Paragon Land News
Before the rumor mill starts to fly. We want to be up front with all our customers and supporters. Currently Paragon and PCA Corporation (land owner) is in legal dispute over our lease agreement for this property. We have done everything within our powers to honor our agreements with the land holding company, but they are trying to evict us from the premesis so they can sell the property. We are still in business and will remain in business as long as possible and we are fighting this with every measure available.

We know the next question is how can you help. Unfortunately, there really isn't anything you can do. We would however, appreciate everyone's hopes and prayers for a good outcome.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kyle & Stephanie Knosp

I'm from New Jersey and i wheeled Paragon many times while i lived there. Its one of only two places to legally wheel in PA.Back east is nothing like what we have here. All the land is private there is no real public land to speak of other then National Parks or some some forest consisting of only a few hundred acres. You can not drive through most and the few that you can drive through are maintained dirt roads that you could take a car down.

Now back to Paragon.Unfortunately its private land that was leased. If the owner of said property wants to sell the property instead of leasing it or develop the property thats their choice.Granted the management of PAP has a 25 year lease which they are into the 3 or 4 year of.Its a crappy deal but most likely the owner will find some reason to get the property lease removed because of PAP's failure to do something.

They will move on and lease other property else were. They have already stated this if they do get removed.

But as Steve mentioned above, we do need to work on fighting to keep public land open .Its a fight that can be won if enough of us support the fight and show the proper interest in keeping it open to us.

being on the east coast ( mass ) and being 4 hours from paragon this is a big blow to our sport. to tell what its like to drive 4+ hours just to wheel, its tuff but we do it at least four times a year and to loose paragon its bad very bad. any support from out west would be great, thanks for helping and your support wont go unnoticed, jason.

Being in Iraq and seeing this on a site thats way out west (I live in Virginia) says we have a good network in place. It really sucks that the land owner wants to re-neg on his end of the deal, but wadda gonna do. We also have other parks avalible like Crozet, Big doggs, Rouch creek. Ive wheeled a few times at paragon and have had a awesome time. I hope its still open when I get back! Thanks for your support guys.....Jeepin joe, I hope to get out your way when I get back. Hope all go's well with your wife.

thank you bill, i am suprized at the shock wave of how fast the hole country ( and beyond ) has rallyed to aid and spred the word of whats going on at paragon. my firends and i had a run planned in may but we upped the date to april ( maybe late march ) to bring as much money to kyle and his family to supprot what sounds like a long fight for them to preserve our writes to off road there. so agin thank you west coast, with your help we can stop this happing here and out in your area, jason.

I was just going to throw up the petition, but I see it's already here. Nice to see it! ;)

Here on the East Coast, it is one of two places where you can wheel all day and even make it into an all weekend event. Everything from the mild to wild as far as rock crawling is concerned :D

It's a bummer to hear about this. I hope something can be resolved.

It's a good reminder that those of us out west (and everyone really) should get involved in protecting our access to public land before it's too late and we end up with nothing but pay-to-play private parks. It'll never happen? I know there are a lot of guys in California who wish they'd gotten involved sooner.
