As far as suspension goes, I would point you toward my suspension guy. Many of the top PeeWee racers in California run his suspension. For around $500 probably, he can have that bike working like butter. Once she is comfortable with the suspension, she will probably get away from the chopping throttle.

So after 8.05 hours the newly rebuilt and upgraded clutch has completely grenaded! I’ve never seen a clutch explode like this before. Every single friction in the pack was fractured! Since I already wasted a couple hundred bucks on worthless upgrades, I decided it’s time to step it up.

The shock clutch is getting completely replaced with a triple grip clutch from intuitive racing. This thing is supposed to grip so well that slipping the clutch will be a non issue anymore. The design is far more simple than stock making for fewer wear items. It’s also much smaller leaving for for more trans fluid and it’s 7oz lighter so acceleration should be greatly improved!

50's are like boats. The 2 best days of your life is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Each level of mini brings it's own headaches but if you can survive the 50's everything else is a breeze.

Today was the first time out on the new triple grip clutch. It was amazing!!! I can’t believe I waited for so long to buy this thing! The bike started up easier, idled smoother, and generated less heat.

All day long she struggled with traction though, because when it engages it is HARD. You can literally see the moment the clutch engages because the bike throws roost. No more smooth throttle, but well worth the trade off.

As I’ve mentioned before the clutch on this bike takes an incredible amount of service. I religiously change the clutch fluid after aproximately 15 minutes of riding.

Here’s how it used to look compared to how it looked with the new clutch. You can see how much metallic junk sticks to the magnetic drain plug. Remember that’s after only 15 minutes!

That is cool. I can remember how excited Jack and Bailee were when they would show up in the coverage of the National Hare & Hounds in Cycle News. I have been searching for pics from the Arenacross last weekend since there were a couple of people on the track throughout the night, but I have not had any luck finding any yet.

St George this last weekend was a MUD FEST!! Everyone struggled with the water and mud, but those poor kids were just swimming in it. Many people started leaving early Saturday, kids were crying and begging their parents to stop. My rockstar of a daughter was loving it! I was so proud of her strength to push through the pain. She keeps asking why we don’t do more mud races ha ha. She ended up with 2nd place in her age bracket and 10th in the open class.

Now to the downside of mud races...

It destroyed so many bikes! We had one moto that the chain packed so tight with mud that I could not get the tire to turn. It ended up pushing the chain out around the front sprocket and literally cut its way into the case saver!

In total I completely trashed the clutch plates, fuel peacock, brand new front and rear brake pads, chain, swing arm bearings, front and rear wheel bearings, and brand new TMD chain slider and chain guide!!

Now I understand why so many people just left instead of sticking it out.


How do you guys stop everything from rusting up like this?? This literally happened while riding. Also notice how the brake pad material is completely missing? They were new pads for that day. The rocks in the mud ripped them apart.

We were at the track. It was a bummer to miss out on rhino rally, but we’re doing the whole RMX series this year

Jack and I bailed on the 2nd motos exactly for these reasons. I did not want to spend all night getting the bikes prepped for the Sunday qualifier since that is what was most important for us.

Those brakes look just like mine did. I had so much mud packed in between the backing plates on the pads, then the heat turned it to bricks. I don't know how I had any brakes at all. I checked all me bearings and they were all good but I took the opportunity to lube all the swingarm linkage stuff since I was at it. bike now has 6.8 hrs on it LOL.

I honked at you at Maverik in Cedar but you were too cool for skool in your new ride

How did the qualifier go for you guys?

It went well. Jack won both his 2nd motos. Ended the day with 1st in the 250 C JR and 2nd in the 125 C. I got first in the 45+. Jack is riding really well and as long as he stays healthy he should make it through regionals easily and have a good result in Tennessee.
