Pickup Camper on trailer?

I picked up a pickup camper off another member last spring for cheap and it works great :D but after using it a couple times I noticed that if I keep my current truck I NEED airbags as it sqauts it big time fully loaded. Also with just a three in lift I almost max out the jacks getting it high enough to drop in plus its a PITA. Looking at the cost of airbags I thought maybe I could just buy a little 4' x 8' utility trailer and put it on that then we could haul it with my wifes jeep too. Does anyone have any comments on this? WOuld it work alright  Looking on KSL.com i figure I could get a descent little trailer for $200-$300.

Seems like a tip-over waiting to happen. On a truck it is tied into a 3000 lb + vehicle. It could be a potential nomination for a Darwin Award. :D

I've seen it done.... I've even seen people with those pickup bed trailers do it..... I would only do it on a goose neck trailer or a good low slung car hauler (tandem axle min of 6k gvw)

Sell the truck, get a 3/4-1 ton, get a gooseneck trailer, attach the camper on the front, put jeep on the rear. it works great.

The payload is only about 3000 lbs. Pretty light buggy would work, but I think anything with a body is going to make a mess of the trailer. Maybe work for a 'Zuk?

I've got a pop-up trailer and have gotten a quote from Big Bubba on a 24' trailer (sans deck) with (2) 8 lug axles and brakes for $2200 plus whatever you pay for a pop-up trailer.
