I am getting ready to paint this another color. I have recently added everything that isn't yellow. I mainly wanted new seats. My seats mount to the two cross pieces. I also have all seatbelt mounts (for the front seats)attached to the cage now. I also attached my ammo can console to these cross pieces. My cage is attached to the frame at the front hoop through new body mounts that we made, and the tub is attached to the frame (indirectly) in the rear through a home made tire carrier/cargo rack. I bought two additional 1" lift pucs from Daystar for the new body mounts to match the rest. You can also see I ran some flat from the middle hoop back to the rear. I have some 4"x24" pieces (1 on each side) that bolt up from under the fender to make sure noththing tears away. We put gussets at each corner, with some handles.
I am into this roughly 200.00. I bought the smittybilt front hoop for about $135, then bought the tubing from Rocklogic, and had them bend my rear pieces -(my brother is an electrician, so we made templates with some 3/4" emt) They also bent the tubing that runs from the front hoop to the middle one. (I would definately go this route again) My dad and I did the rest.
I will post a pic of the jeep. I am getting the tub lined black this week. - Any suggestions on a color for the cage? I am leaning towards silver or grey - think black might get hot.
