Pitbull Rocker wear?

Saving my money for new treads...wondering how long the Pitbull Rockers will last compared to other tires. I drive the jeep 10-20 miles a day in the summer, and last summer it trashed my set of 39" IROKs.

Would like to go back to 38's, but also considering 37's.

Also have a line on some used 37" wrangler MT'Rs that I think would wear good. Considering 37" Cooper Discoverer STT's.

Any of these will be aggressive enough for what I do, but open to input about other tires.

I wanna drive it during the summer, wheel it once a month, and just don't wanna put new tires on it each year...

Rocker Radials may last 20,000. The bias ply wear quickly. I have only driven on my bias Rockers less than 200 miles and you can see the wear already, especially on the fronts. For road driving I would recommend something else.

Dont let the Pitbulls decieve you. They do round off kind of quick but after that...the depth lasts a long time. Radials or bias.

I would recommend the radials since your planning street more than wheeling but not for better wear....just smoother ride.

Iroks blow for longevity. I think Interco should be ashamed of them. If they lasted you a year I would guess the Pitbulls will last you 3 or more.

My friend has a set of 37" bias rockers. After a bit of break-in, they hook up great in Moab. He had Iroks before, and the Rockers are wearing WAY better, they will last 3 times as long at least. The bias ones do run a bit short and wide, from what I have seen the radials are a bit taller for a given size.

I guess I can give an update. So far I have owned my for a little over a year now and I have had them out on a couple of different runs. My rig handles well at speed if I am off road. On the road it does not handle well but, I think most of it is the rig not the tires. In the mud they are okay, deep snow they are good/great provided that it is deep. If there is only a few inches then they suck since they are so wide. On the road there is some road noise but, not as bad as I thought they would be. Actually pretty quiet for such a large aggressive tire. I will be at Moab this week and hope to have some time on the rocks with them. Overall I really do like them and they do well enough just about every where. I wish they made a 44X15X17. I could use just a tad more diff clearance.

I'm planning on doing 37/13.5/r16 rockers with beadlock rims for my blazer I heard a lot of good about them and I like the way they look. Peeps say they are killer on the rocks when aired down. NEG: it was also reported that they tend to pop off the rim due to how wide they are. The reviews say a 10" and 12" wide rim works well for them depending how wide the ones you choose.

So with an 8 inch wheel what kinda of air pressure can I air down to without worrying about popping a bead without bead locks? Are they heavy like a toyo mud terrain or are they like a normal bfg or goodyear mud terrain?

My 39" Maddogs have about 3500 miles on them and have VERY little wear other than the corners being rounded off a bit. My guess is I'll easily get 15k out of them.

I'm eying the 37" radial rockers but we'll see. :D

The Rockers are pretty awesome! A couple of my friends are running them and love them. They last a long time for what they are, I'm considering them for my next tire in a radial. It's kind of a toss up for me between the Rockers and the new MTR/k's. I've seen both rule house in all conditions up here, really just a matter of how much street time they'll be seeing.
