Do you think it would work to herculine over it?

I have some of this product (have yet to use it, just picked it up). I think you may have trouble getting the Herculiner to bond to the foil.

I use that stuff a fair bit for it's intended purpose, and it sticks way better if you heat it and then use the peel-off backing to burnish it on there. It does get soft when it's warm, so it is best to have carpet or a rubber floor mat over it.
