Powder coating question

I have a few parts that I would like to powder coat and they have some rust. Do I need to remove the rust prior to sending in the parts? Some are rims, which are the worst parts.

Thanks,

Go see Jeff or Ryan down at Armor coatings. They're a supporting vendor as well. They can take care of you. They can blast them for you before they coat them.

Iirc, I think most items get sandblasted before Powdercoating anyways, at least some companies.

they will need to be sandblasted first. The blasting media gives the metal the proper texture for the powder coat to adhere well. Bad powder coat jobs are because of bad prep a lot if not all of the time.

Cornaby powder coating is going to be closer to you. I had them do some stuff and it was same day service and good prices. They are in spanish fork. You can text me if you want more info on it :)
