Powdercoating prices?

After hearing everyone here recomend them. Then seeing a Utah powdercoating truck at the car wash (covered in powdercoating) I thought I'd call them For a price on coating my sliders cause the truck looked nice. They want $220 to powdercoat 2, 66" sliders. They were willing to give me 20% off that price but unfortunately that's still way out of my price range.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or prices they could throw at me? Also does anyone know where I can maybe have them sand blasted then just paint them myself? I'm just wanting flat black, nothing special

$176 is too much? Trust me, you don't want a shabby garbage powdercoating. You might as well just spray can your sliders because a crappy powdercoat will most likely peel and flake off anyways, just like spray paint. Spray paint will keep you in the $20 range

I'm definately fine with spraying them. I'd just like to have them sandblasted or somehow cleaned up first.

Check with Utah Powdercoatings to see if they'll just media blast your sliders. I had Marshall powder coat me sliders this last fall after years of spray painting sliders... I will never spray paint another set of sliders. Ever.

Its spray canned I would never waste money to powder coat the buggy, it just gets beat anyway. Hammerite all the way

I was talking about the Blue Bomber. That was sprayed? Huh.
Hammerite is the win for pretty much anything that gets bashed.
