Power steering inline filter

I need an inline filter for my power steering. I tapped the box and cleaned out really well but somehow still have metal shavings in the fluid. I know I have seen them before but can't remember where.

That is a good idea, assuming that the pieces are all magnetic. I may put one in the reservoir which is what I think you meant.

Cool, what filter do they use? Is it a common one I can pick up at just about anywhere?

Saginaw pumps with reservoirs have a magnet on the pump body, about the size of a quarter.

Try a 3/8 inline fuel filter on the return line.
I've ran several over the years and never had any problems

I wondered about doing this as it would be a super cheap option.

checker , napa Henderson, ect have inline fluid filters, google them and you will see them about 15-25 dollars come in different inlet sizes also used on auto transmissions.
