Pro-Rock observations

Played spectator at Pro-Rock this weekend.... I really like the laid back low stress style, but the oganization seemed a little lacking. Overall, much more to my liking. The coarses were cool, some climbs, some tech stuff, all mixxed in. It is cool to watch the spottters/drivers work together without using straps, seems the slow down and drive/pick lines better.

Things I learned:

1. I am not the only one the can tear a dana 44 spindle off (Sorry Rick/Kat)
2. Drink lots of water!!!!
3. Nate Williams can drive the K2 better than JohnyG
4. Moonbuggies can roll
5. Turbos on the rocks sound out of place....and really strange when the motor hits the rev limmiter and the waste gate opens....
6. can't find 5.89 9" gears anywhere from Vegas to SLC on a Saturday night(again, sorry Rick/Kat)
7. Wildbill is very anal about checking the rig before he can go to bed.
8. RJ brown has the worst luck and the MOST fun.
9. It can take ten hours to drive home from Cedar City.
10. Don't leave ahead of your friends, the might need something, when no one else will stop to help them. (except for the Skys guys, but bus spares, don't fit SD's)
11. 2002 Superduty and 95 F250 do NOT have the same 8 lug bolt pattern.
12. If you are going to run 37's on 17's on a SD tow rig....BUY THE SPARE TOO, and DON'T let Wildbill drive!!!! (J/K Glad to help)

It was actually a GREAT weekend. Glad to see a fun low stress comp.

13. Much cheaper trip when I don't have to carry bail money. :suka:

3 Peaks.....same as all the rest. What's up with seperating the Jp Modified Stock though???? Seem like the red-headed step child. I think there was about 20 fans/people checking out that action. I was one of them.

School bus's are the Sky's Extreme guys....They stop to help, but did not have the tire/wheel needed.

I just drove my truck down, no rig or trailer on the way down...or on the way home the first time....

I can not believe what great people Marc and Angie are. They were definatley our lifesavers this weekend. Not only do we bareley know them but we called for help and no questions asked they were turned around from almost Provo to drive back just tow our rig back and see if there spare tire would fit. (unfortunatley it did not). Turning a 3 hour trip in to a 10 hour trip for them. However they took me and our rig back to Salt Lake. I just wanted to let them know how much we really appreciated the help. We owe you big time!!!!!!!! So a big Thank you! ALSO WE WILL NOW ALWAYS CARRY A SPARE! The adventures of 4-wheeling. Too bad the tires for the buggy are not the same for the truck we would have had 4 of them.

No problem! It's just what you do when somebody needs help. You guys and Bill would do the same.... It was a great weekend, we had a lot of fun....even the second drive home was fun....Even though you made me feel old!!

This weekend makes me want to compete again!! We had a great time! Hanging out, competing, helping each other out, and having FUN!!!! Thats what it is all about!

Why is it that everyone post pic of are **** up and not the cool thing we do? Like the wall that we made look easy. By the way I am just a Sub-Par spotter I just didn't learn anything from the up and coming Matt Wolley and need some help in the spotting. But I can build one great Rig

Things I learned:
1.I am just too old to do this $h**!
2.Even though there were less than 40 rigs these guys are the best of the best.
3.You can't spot like you can pull on a rope at Pro Rock.
4.The stock class was segregated both days so we didn't get to mingle like usual.
5.Linda can be heard laughing on the other courses.
6.We suck refer to #1
7. Looks like a front axle upgrade is in order. (grenaded the front ARB)
Things Linda learned:
1.Don't run into the caution tape.
2.Don't listen to your spotter all the time, it will get you in trouble.
3.When you have all 4 tires in the air and your spotter can't pull without pointing out, you are stuck and will time out.
4.Smile when the magazine photographer is taking shots of you wedged in a crack.

At least we got to see a few of you at the drivers meeting.
