Got a lot done over the weekend. Built some elaborate bump brackets and some fiberglass grills! Im hoping to drive it this week end.(fingers crossed)
Very cool. I'm jealous of the fiberglass work, I've been wanting to learn how to do that for a while now.
(*whispering* as to not thread hi-jack, but the video links in this link are pretty good beginner videos, but fiberglass is relatively cheap and just getting down to it and doing some is a great way to learn to)

I love the attention to detail. One day I hope to be able to lay down welds like that.
Awesome Rawlin! So, is the Pheonix going to be Tuff Country car #2?
Forgive my ignorance but, why a spool in the front?? I don't know what 4400 series racing is, I'm assuming its along the lines of rock racing or desert racing or a combination of both, like The King Of the Hammers, yes-no??
It seems to me that any kind of racing is going to require good steering manners, except maybe mud bogging or sand drags!
BTW: Those axles are waaaay coool!! Looking forward to more info & pics on those bad boys!
Also built some hoods thanks to casey Beach. Take a look they are cool.
Uh, details on building something like this? (not sure I want to go there, but that looks pretty sweet)
Im happy to build you whatever you want..

Do you build your own molds & are they good for multiple uses??
Yes I build the molds and Yes they are good for many uses. I have made about six hoods with my current mold and it couldnt work any better.
It's great looking work!!
Have you built anything like a full tilt 1 piece front end with high clearance fenders?? I don't know how time consuming something like that is but you definitely have the talent to build it! :tara: I paid $300 for a used one that needs repairs... Might be a market out there!?
Thanks! I havent built a one piece front end. I have done some work on some bulged baja style fenders and bedsides for a friend but thats about the extent of it. I'm sure I could repair it for ya if that would help ya out?
