Thanks, it feels good. I messed around with the mercedes motor for so long, it felt like I was never going to succeed.

Built a small rack to hold my aux relays and fuses for my Range Rover. There will run a lift pump and auxiliary lights.

Finally made some real progress on this. I resealed the transfercase. Cleaned it up and painted it. I'm looking for a parking brake solution for it as well.

Last night I got the Transfercase installed. I bench pressed it into place. I didn't want to scratch the paint with my jack. It's the small things.

So I'm going to get the exhaust finished next and then the drivelines. I'm looking for an aluminum radiator for it as well.

I didn't take a lot. I'm bad at that. I'm one of those guys that just wants to get the job done.

This NP241D has a fixed rear yoke. So that was nice. It makes it a lot shorter the the original NP205 that was on the donor truck.

Yes, its getting cut off next. I'm going to have a local shop do the exhaust.

Gotcha! Ever consider doing it yourself? I bought one of these (Universal Flowmaster Exhaust) for my '98 GMC and it made the work easy... you would probably need some more exhaust pipe beyond the kit, of course.

Yeah. I could. But my welder is 220v. I've done a few with it. I guess I'm just getting lazy and want this thing done.

I ordered a new radiator last night. A nice aluminum unit with a built in transmission cooler. It also comes with 2-10" pusher cooler fans.

Radiator showed up. Gave it a quick test fit. I'll need to trim the crossmember and lower it down further.

Well. Hood won't close without major modifications. Either I chop up the frame. Or I buy a body lift.

I ordered one from England. $150 with shipping. Should be here in a week.

I then bolted the transmission back down to the crossmember. And cut off the muffler. I'll start the exhaust work next week. And I'll also start building the front driveshaft

Installed the body lift. It took about two hours. Now I have all the clearance I need.

One less thing to do now. Made some mounting tabs for the aluminum radiator and then had my friend tig weld them onto the radiator. I did one of them. Can you spot it. Fits in perfect now.
