Great pimped wag. How is articulation wheeling and ride comfort for DD stuff?

Articulation is pretty good. More than I expected out of a 6 inch lift spring. As far as the comfort goes, if I could do it all over, I would go with a spring over, retain the stock rated spring packs, and throw some dana 60's under it. The springs have broken in since I installed them but it is kinda stiff riding around town. But as far as the interior goes, I dont think I could get much more comfort out of a 4wd!! Unless it was a Grand Wagoneer with leather seats! :D

My first jeep was an old 70's wag, loved it-- this thread makes me wish i still had it.

great rig, love it!

Hey mine was to. I love the look of the retro wheels they are the same ones mine had and they are easy to polish up.

Man that thing is clean.

Some pics of the Wagon in action this past saturday. Locker and gears worked AWESOME!!! I was really happy with it! Smashed the exhaust and took a chunk out of my super cool white lettering on my tires:rofl: Normal trail damage.

Looks good man, i have always had a soft spot for the wagees, but not really any other jeep, very clean build though, where the heck did you find one in such amazing condition? Looks like it flexs alright, but your right spring over and flater springs would help, keep the pics coming

Thanks man! I watched and waited to buy this Waggy for about 2 years. The old lady who bought it new used it to run to her cabin and back and thats it. Lived in a garage its whole life. It definently needs some more down travel. It stuffs decent but the droop isnt the best! Someday when I get bored and have the shop space I will do the SOA and throw some 60s under it with 37s. Someday...............:D

Well its been a while since I updated this thread. Been wheeling and driving the Waggy with no real problems. Finally got the SURCO roof basket that I have wanted forever. Found it in a guys yard and bought it off him for 20 bucks! haha. Also got a steering stabalizer and a secondary tranny cooler installed. Hope to get some good snow wheeling in this year!

Here is a waterfall that we took a trail to get to a few weeks ago. This is the kind of scenery that I built the Jeep to take me to!!
