Proposed trip up barrett canyon in north ogden...

I went up there last night and had a blast. It is mad boulder/loose rock crawl.

If I had to place it, I would put it right smack dab inbetween rattlesnake and constrictor for difficulty. Lockers a must, low gears a must!!

I want to take a small group up there. Probably about 5 people in addition to myself. Post up and we will get it planned, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

It is legal, I ran it past the FS and we cannot physically get into their territory so they are cool with it!!

LETS DO IT!!

I have to replace my passenger side hub on my zuk though, it decided to liberate itself from my spindle!!

that is BB88 in his previous incarnation of 50/50 toyota/suzuki and jp008 in his samurai back in 2k2. They can attest to how tough this route is, imagine this terrain steeper and tighter and you have carnage canyon nearby.

it is at the base of ben lomand peak in north ogden. You can't just drive straight to it as you would trespass on a lot of land that is being watched by the NOPD. you have to go up north ogden divide a bit and then cut off on the telephone pole road that goes along the base of the mountain, then you can get to barrett canyon.

we ran it yesterday....I am up for a run again sometime soon. since it is so close, we can make it an evening event after work on a weekday. I better get fixing those hub bolts on my zuk!!
