Greeting from Provo,
I am a long time wheeler originally from Nevada. I just bought my current ride right after New Year's and haven't really done much to it yet. It is a 1997 Jeep TJ with a 3.5" RE lift and 33 inch tires. This was done before I bought it. I'm currently running with open diffs but I already bought an Aussie locker for the front. I am looking to upgrade the stock rear axle (dana 35c) to either a dana 44 or a Ford 8.8, whichever is cheaper. I still have stock 3.07 gears so I don't go real fast on the freeway. Hopefully I will be able to get out and play with some other locals from RME soon.

Welcome, my suggestion is to get a selectable locker for your front because come winter time you won't want the front locked up or you my find yourself off the road.

Some Pics

Well, per your request I have attached some pictures of my TJ. Also today I spent some time at the local 4x4 shop and have decided to swap in an Explorer 8.8 for my current Dana 35. In the end I think this will end up being a better setup and definitely cheaper than a Dana 44. I already found an axle with factory limited slip. I will have to have the gears changed out but that's okay. Hopefully I will have the new set up in a couple of weeks. I am going to pick up the axle tomorrow and drop it off at the shop. No turning around after that. I guess I'll have a used Dana 35 for sale when it's all said and done. Okay, here are the pics.

You know it! I spoke at length with Kevin today and I must say I was very impressed with him. He took a lot of time to discuss all of my axle options even though I know he is very busy with other work. I am very excited to have him work on my Jeep.
