Q for the Toyota guys

Over the weekend we took in a 1985 Toyota std cab P-Up that's only had 1 owner... seriously.

The truck seems to be in fairly good shape except the owner seems to have found a way to dent every body panel over the years. The interior seems to be in excellent shape.

Here are the Q's:

It's 2wd; is it worth converting to 4WD?
It says "1 Ton" on the tailgate... really?
I am going to look at it closer tomorrow, what should I look for in any trail rig potential?

Good for a "shop runner" type truck, but not much else. (if it runs well and all...)
