But, does anyone around here know anyone at Quality Tire that could hook up a discounted price on tires?

I know you tire options are limited in that size. Have you looked at the Cooper Discoverer ST? I have liked mine so far.

My ultimate goal is finding an aggressive A/T out the door for around $160ish..

I've always loved the Maxxis Bighorn, which Discount does carry.. The Bighorn comes in a 255/85/16, but does not register on Discount's website.

I had great luck with B&R Tire on ~3100 S. and 300 W. Scored a set of 245/70/16 Bridgestone Dueler AT's for about 50 bucks less a tire than other joints...(something like 520 out the door)

That's similar to the Mastercraft Courser C/T. Just thought that may help expand your search. My neighbor runs them and absolutely loves them. He's not much of an off-roader though. Mostly two-track for hunting and such.

Tell them at Quality that Bryan from Directv sent you in. Im not Bryan but he wont mind. He is our fleet manager. We have 175 3/4 ton cargo vans and use them for tires.

If anyone can get a deal on something there we should be able to.

Sami, are these for the runner? i am curious to hear what you get, cost, and pros... im interested in this size too for my next set when i get a little lift. I think i want to go BFG muds, thats the only ones in this size range agressive enough looking for me.

AKA, i hate my highway tires!!! haha but they have worked great for the 30k miles i put on last year and took me to moab! good times. but its time for change haha

You can get them direct from Pearson Tire is Salt Lake or I special ordered mine via Big-O.
