I think I decided on the XSI. I did a bunch of reading, and it seems like the XSI is a better value for what I'll do. It will do raw+jpeg simultaneously and some features of the 40d and the Mark III have trickled down to it.

Nope, I didn't know that.... it's been an eon since I've used film, and even then, my roommate had a metric ton of lenses and extra cameras... never really thought about it...

and now with digital I've been using it for snapshots, really... minor fixing in Photoshop or Corel if necessary...


Definitely going to have to look into that.

OK, bringing this back from the dead. Milner, do you have link (or a user name) for NPS on eBay? I'm ready for a cool lens. Maybe I'll leave SLIGHT hints about father's day.

Ultra wide angle is super cool, until you get run over by a 42" swamper trying to get that perfect shot lol.
