I've been thinking about doing this for some time, the local Grand Junction motorcycle club puts on 2 Enduro races per year and the next one, called the Snakebike Enduro, is coming up next weekend. I've never even watched an Enduro, let alone raced... the structure of the race itself is interesting, seems like learning how to be competitive will take some time. As I understand, it's going to be multiple timed laps (with check points along the course) around an 8-10 mile course... totaling 80 miles in the race.
I'm still not 100% sure that I will be participating in the race, it's a bit overwhelming just jumping right in solo. I've registered, but I'm thinking I may just show up and watch.

I've done a lot of reading on how Enduro's are timed, there's a lot to it! Found a good article here. - http://www.dirtrider.com/features/online-exclusives/141_1002_national_enduro_racing_guide/
Anyone else ever consider this, or even raced an enduro?
