Better late than never but here are some pictures of our Rattlesnake run as well as Little Moab.

Jessor, rholbrook, The Stranger and camc all met up to go to Rattlesnake. this was the first time we met The Stranger and he showed up with his brother. Great guys and he ended up knowing my niece. Small world.

Here is Cams TJ he just bought. We made quick work out of Rattlesnake and of cours we weren't going to make Wayne's World so we decided to head to Little Moab via the old county road. To our surprise the road became a river once we got out there a ways. It was really cool. We spoke to the farmer who told us the road was like that about 10 days a year. The farmer also told us of a group of 4 wheelers that went flying through the middle of his farm to get past the deep snow even though it was posted NO TRESPASSING. I hope that was none of our RME friends. Getting through the snow on the county road was a lot of fun.

We passed Meat on his way down from LM. The last time I wheeled with him I think he had a blazer or was with someone with one. That was back when TREX, Bucking Bronco and Heston were going through Rattlesnake.

Anyway, great trip, lots of water, lots of fun and some great guys.

I wanted to wheel the Army's 8 wheeled beasts. We passed about 6 of them.

That water was really cool to go through and it was at least a mile long and a foot deep. The farmer said it got nearly 2 feet deep last year.

I've been to the carwash 3 times since this trip and I still don't think I have all of the mud off of it.

I still cant believe all of the water on that road!

That was a lot of fun, we should do this trip again.

Great Post. Those 8 wheel beast are Marine LAV's the Army Stryker's don't have larger turets on top for the most part. The MGS (mobile Gun System) does but it is a 105MM gun and not a small 20MM like the ones the LAV's use. They are both made by the same company Genral Dynamics and use the same base. The marine one is amphibious and is just in a 20MM compaired to the Army version that is not amphibious but had some ten or more variations. Both the vehicles are great being six wheel drive and having six wheel steering too. The rear set of wheels steer but do not get power while the set before them get power but don't steer. I was surprised with how they could handle on the Jeep trains that criss-cross fort lewis and how well they did on solid ground. They encountered major problems when you got in the mud and often took three vehicles to dislodge one stuck one. The eight wheels justs don't float over mud with allt he weight from armor and stuff.

This is why this section of RME is my favorite. Cool photos, great adventures, beautiful scenery, and great folks. Looks like y'all had a blast. Thanks for the report.

The Red Toyota is a very capable rig. Brandon owns it and apparently his brother Markus has one as well and is in the process of making it capable as well. He was missing either doors or something making it so he couldn't or should I say wouldn't run it in the mud. I can only imagine how messy the inside of his would be based on the amount of money I spent at the car wash.

Brandon is a great guy and I know that Jessor, Cam and I look forward to going with him again.

Is that 5 foot snow bank melted off the county road on the side of the farm or did the farmer let you go on his drive way? We went two weeks ago and had to turn around because of the bank and only the private road was the only way through to Little Moab.
