My niece and her family are flying into town for a week. While they are here, her husband--who has never participated in any sort of wheeling in his entire life--would like me to take him Jeeping. I already have another driver to accompany me (fellow RME member dash), but the more the merrier, as they say. Needless to say, everyone is invited to come along.
Why are we going on a Friday at 10:00am? First, because it fits the hectic schedule of the guest of honor. Second, Ryan (dash) happens to have the whole day off work. Third, I was able to arrange my schedule to also have that whole day off work. So that's why. We figure this will greatly reduce the number of fellow RME attendees, unfortunately, but if any of you do have the time then we'd love to have you along.
Why are we running the snakes? Primarily because Ryan has never been there. Any trail with any sort of terrain ought to satisfy my relative, I figured; and as soon as Ryan fessed up that he had never been to the snakes, my mind was made up. My plan is to guide us through Rattlesnake, then lead us over to Wayne's World so Ryan can see that, too (and I'll probably give it an attempt for my first time ever--you know, to put on a good show for my guest), then head onto Constrictor to see if I can get through Radiator Rapids... only to turn around at eagle's Nest since I don't have a winch. Then we'll run the trails in reverse as we come back out.
