I seriously would not be suprised if it was a so called 'environmentalist' "waging war" with the ohv users to try and get us into trouble for littering... -_- keep your eyes peeled...I bet he is just hiding in the bushes, and when you pick it up, he will take pictures and send them to ksl and make it look like you were dumping them...and since ksl doesn't check any of their info, all land will be closed to all ohv's and the world will come to an end...
Dude, how old are you?

The thing that kills me is whoever dumped it had to drive past two landfills to get it out there.....and drive about an hour out of their way. It certainly cost more in gas than it would have cost to just go to the damn landfill!!

There is more than one way to get there, did you see the guy dump it? :ugh:

I agree it is bogus that people just dump their trash, but the various communities could make it a little easier to get rid of large waste items as well.

Where my parents live, they have "FREE" access to a dump, where I live I don't. Where my parents live, they also come around 2 times a year and pick up large items from the curb. Where I live they drop off 2-3 half sized dumpsters that fill up in about 5 minutes once a year, and everyone else who is at work when they show up is left hanging.

This problem is not just about a person dumping trash in the desert. Get out there and talk to your city councel members or mayor about getting a better program so we don't have to pay $20 to drop off a pick-up truck full of trash. And once the program is in place, then ADVERTISE it.

It's 8 bucks for a pickup load at the SL county dump. $16 if it is uncovered.

Great, I would rather pay $8 bucks than free

No, I am not saying I would dump it in the desert, I am just saying it would be nice if T-Ville had a better program, along with all other communities. If someone is already headed to 5 mile pass to drink some brewskies and slaughter some rabbits, then why not get rid of some items from your front porch?

Nothing is free. If they don't charge you $8 at the dump, be sure that they'll raise some tax $80 so you can dump for "Free".

My initial comment about that shows "FREE" in quotes. I understand nothing is free, thanks.

Anyway, their were some large garbage items left out there at the base of the Baja road. WE didn't have a truck, or I would have tossed the mattress and some of the other stuff in the bed.

So it's been two Saturdays has noone noticed? Or just noone said anything?

You haul that outta here, good work dude! :D

Lets get a condition report from whomever is out there next, and we can plan accordingly. If nothing sooner, the BLM will be having their "Volunteer Across America" cleanup in the Fall, we should all plan on being there to show them WE CARE! I will be sure to post up the details.

Thanks to all those helping out!

when I was out there last (again, about three weeks ago) I didn;t notice hardly any "litter"...majority of the stuff I saw was large items like that shed thingy that Meat hauled out (good job BTW) and I did notice a few tires and rims around...other than that it wasn't too bad. I agree, whoever is out next give us a report and we'll plan accordingly.
