Going south out of Tooele, about 1 mile before the road turns East and then comes to the 5mp parking area, there is a fairly large dirt parking area on the east side of the road .. that is the parking area for the snakes.
In otherwords, if you pass the pony express road, heading west at the bend in the road, you've gone to far, turn around and head back to tooele, about 1 mile and watch for big parking area on the east side of road
Here are better directions, from Tooele.
Head out of town, through Stockton. When you see Penney's on the right, get ready to turn left, JUST past the DOT building. That is 73. Haul ass towards the mountains, but slow down for the southerly turn in the road. Keep going up and down the whoops, past the chemical depot. You will see a sign for Mercur, keep going. You will see a sign for Sunshine Canyon on the left. Start slowing down a little. When you see a big signboard on the left, off the road a bit, slow down ALOT. Turn left. You are now in the parking lot.
Go up the obvious road, and where it turns left and meanders through some smallish trees, follow that. After that, stay in the wash. There will be a big squarish rock on the left. Welcome to Rattlesnake.
I took a wrong turn after the big covered mineshaft, so I can't offer advice after that.
