Ok I am about done welding on this thing for now. I have alot of cleaning up to do with the grinder. This was my first time welding so I suck but I got to start somewhere plus I think once I herculine it it will hide alot of imperfections. Im going to try and explain how I did this.

We started by knocking the wheel wells out with a hammer. Which I wish I wouldnt have done because I could have just cut them down to fit the left over wheel well hole. Then we decided how wide I wanted to make the rear and chalk lined it to the corner. you can kinda see how we did it in the second pic.

We also cut the inner wall near the corner where the cut stopped and on the top of the tub to relieve some pressure. the cut on the top is a triangle shaped cut. You can see where the cuts where made in these pictures

After getting all the cuts made and bending it in I realized I had taken out to much metal. It was to narrow for the frame so we had to add some metal to the floor. After getting the sides welded back to the floor We started trying to figure out something for the wheel wells. I tried straightening the originals but they were to mangled. So we made a template out of cardboard. I went and got the sheet metal which we cut out with a plasma cutter using the templates.

Well guys I finally got started on the front dovetail on this thing. I also got the front d60 in and the tub and motor on/in the frame. I just need to hook up the propane kit and the rest of the lines and fire it up. Here is some pics.

I lived right off of redwood rd for a while and the little hoodlum kids painted up the fenders so thats why they look so good.

Wow! Really? My stuff is junk compared to everyone else on here. That was a hell of a complement. Thanks.

LT.

You, my friend, are WAY too hard on yourself. You've got a killer rig that needs some tweaking. I wish I had the parts on it.
