I'd go 5.29 and it's a myth that 5.71's are weak.

ring
5.71's are able to create more torque than 4.10's (given)
5.71's have the same diameter gear as a 4.10
5.71's are considerably thicker than 4.10's
5.71's have just slightly shorter length of tooth of a 4.10
5.71 and 4.10 have the same thickness of root
5.71's have larger teeth (thicker face) than a 4.10
Pinion
5.71's have a shorter tooth than a 4.10

Point being just about the same number of teeth are in contact on both 5.71 and 4.10 gears; and on the 5.71 the teeth are stronger to offset the lessened amount of tooth contact.

So yes, I guess they may not be as strong as a 4.10 in some areas, but in others they are just as strong if not stronger. Even still, 5.71's can handle larger (40's) tires with v8 power and not have issues.

Gears fail more often from poor setup than a bad gear set!!!

Send me your thirds and parts (or buy the parts from me) and I'll setup the new gears for $100 per dropout. My thirds also pack a 12 month warranty.
