67"??? thats way too big. i have 2" spacers on the frontend to help with width, but i don't think it is near 67", probably more like 64"
whats the width on a waggy front?

so who makes 6lug conversions?

Waggy front is around 62" - 63" wms to wms. I can't remember the exact numbers.

how much is a 6lug convo? who sells them?
i would love to have a 14b! but it would require bigger than 15" wheels wouldn't it?
what size wheels do they require normally? i am planning on diy beadlocks and i could just buy 2 six lug 16" wheels for the front and 2 eight lug 16" wheels for the rear and weld on the rings. since i will have beadlocks i can just bring an extra tire with me, not on a wheel.
but 14ff don't go to 5.38 do they?

I've got 15's on my 14ff, the calipers are ground a bit and they barely (and I really mean barely) clear. It is doable though. Very cheap too.

I'd look into a 9 like the others said, if you're going to sink money into an axle that's the one I'd do, it's a heck of a lot lighter than a 60 and parts are cheaper. Plus once you've done the locker and 30 spl. shafts. You're as strong if not stronger than a 60.

why would a 9'' be better than a 60? it is a semifloat axle and comes stock with 28 spline.
i could sink the same amount of money into a 60 and have 35 spline shafts and a spool probably
i don't like the whole semifloat thing at all... it just doesn't make sense when it comes to strength. upgrading to an axle that is semifloat isn't much of an upgrade imo. i would stick with my axle if it was a floater!
i guess i should go for a 60, but what vehicle make/model and year should i look for? does a 35 spline 60 (stock) really exist? i think it is a unicorn.

well, 9" is cheaper to upgrade and some come with 31 spline shafts, so starting off they are bigger than the 30 spline shafts from the 60. Its super easy to find a 31 spined 9" too. The 9" is just a bolt in deal to go all the way up to 40 spline axles. Where the 60 has to have the spindles bored and with a stock spindle the largest you can fit through after it been bored out is a 37 spline axle. Now comparing the SF to FF...FF is stringer when you compare the same thing (35 vs. 35) but with SF its a lot easier to go larger axles like I already mentioned, and its a lot cheaper too, because of the semi used parts you can get from the race industry...there used to be detroits for 9"s on ebay that had been used once or even not at all that would go for $100-$200...tahts cheaper than a 14T detroit.

plus the 9"s have third members, and that's just cool.... :D

it does make it much wasier to work on, and you dont have to tote the whole axle in to get a gear change...:D

it would be nice to have a backup third that is set up. so if you break a locker, gears, whatever, you just swap it in.... even lincoln locked for simplicity, it's a backup.... i know, i'm cool... ..... :-\ maybe not though...

hmm i guess i am nuts too, but just the idea of semifloat seems better to me. it seems as though it would be so much stronger because of the weight not being directly applied to the shaft! and it is so much easier to take shafts out for trail repair.
yes having a bolt in third would be nice for sure. but it would be even nicer if it was a floater! maybe i just need to get a custom axle with bolt in 3rd and full float. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I am pretty sure an eaton rear would qualify in that...they have a bolt in third, FF, and are pretty beefy (I think similar to a 14T)...also you can get a detroit for them but I dont think (I may be wrong) you can get 5.38s...
