Haven't owned any reconditioned welders, but everything else I've ever bought factory reconditioned has been great. (there have been several things) Most of the time they have the same warrantee as new, or maybe slightly shorter.

Is it a decent price break compared to new?

I have had the opposite experience with reconditioned or refurbished items. Everything I have got has only had a 1 yr warranty, and usually goes out soon after that. Most of the things have been electonic, but I tend to stay away from them all together now.

And they have all been factory refurbished.

I would go for it if it's what you want and it's a decent price break. A few bucks from $750 isn't worth it to me. $150 off (or more) would have me thinking about it. I've never specifically used a reconditioned welder but I always go with factory reconditioned things and most of the time have good results. I have used welders that were fixed at local welding shops and never picked up by the owner :p

What kind of warranty does it come with? What all is covered?

I bought a factory reconditioned Dewalt Sawzall and you'd never know it wasn't new. I'd say as long as it was reconditioned by the factory that built the welder & it's a name brand product, you're probably going to be fine.

price break is good, says the retail is $720 and they are selling it for $450, so ya that is a big difference. as for warranty I haven't looked to see yet

a lot of the times there is nothing wrong with a factory reconditioned item. a lot of companies wont sell anything as new if it has been returned open box. or it was missing a part and someone returned it and they sent it back to the factory for repackaging.
