For tonight's entertainment I got "Carriers". Has the guy from that last Star Trek movie, one of the chicks from "Coyote Ugly", and a CW show girl.. oh! and the guy from Law and Order: SVU, Stabler.
This movie was unrelentingly BLEAK. Premise is: two brothers and these two chicks are trying to get to the ocean, after some kind of virus has killed nearly everyone. Why? Well, that's not really that important, mmmkay? Anyway, they are driving through the southwest from CO, and along the way it's just hopelessness after devastation, topped with the everpresent threat of infection and death.
I can't recommend this to anyone in good conscience. If you're into bleak, depressing apocalyptic movies, maybe you'll like this. I did not-- I found it without redeeming qualities. As to the merits of the craft, the acting was alright, the filming fine, soundtrack appropriate, but to no end.
15 Tacoma points for professionalism in the creation of this horribly depressing end-of-everything movie.
