One of the Mechanics was telling me that this has happened to quite a few Inernationals. Something about the battery cables rubbing against the frame.

Yep, they were talking in the office that 4 or so have caught fire. The others were caught much quicker and put out. They were in other DC's though. It rubs down by the starter. Could be very scary if you were sleeping when it happened.:eek:

Makes me glad that I am one of the lucky few with a Freightliner. :greg:

All of the new Tractors showing up in our yard lately are internationals. They have good power, but are hard to shift and the cabs are too small for anyone over 6' with a good belly:D

In the older ones you are likely to get frostbite on your toes from all the winter air blowing through the floor.

Yup, Internationals suck. Give me a Sterling.
