I don't think that you'll need a transponder bypass for the Tacoma event though you need one for every other Toyota truck of that year so that will save you $. The Touareg can be done but will require more parts and you'll need to give up a valid key. I'll PM you a quote for each.

Yes. As long as the vehicle is fuel-injected, it can have a remote starter.

If you're talking about the iphone deal, at this point almost every manufacturer (including GM new cars) offers an iPhone app (android too). It's one of those things that start out really super cool but after a while of getting you phone out, unlocking it, opening the app and then pressing the start button, the thrill wears off. User reviews have been mixed at best.
You can get a two-way remote start with an lcd remote that will start every time, give you confirmation on the remote and have a 2 mile range. It will be a more reliable product as well.

It's getting cold outside... remote starterz are teh bomb.
can you do a remote start in a '92 4runner w/ the 22re? And I'm assuming I have to leave it parked in neutral....what happens when I leave it in first and try to hit the remote start in the morning? Can you quote me for a remote start and power door lock button? it doesn't need to be anything fancy w/ a 2 mile range...
