Removing window tint?

Any special tips to remove window tint? The front passenger of our expedition is dark. Sure it’s great for the summer sun.. but it absolutely sucks all winter and at night. Can’t even change lanes safely.
You can see the difference between the visuals in the photos. And the dark photo is actually better than real life. I was unable to see anything IRL.. the camera lightened it up a bit.



I just don’t want to mess it up or make it worse. Any special tips?

Razor and some patience. Not bad if it’s quality film

I pealed the tint off my Tacoma with some Sticker/label remover spray and a razor blade. (Scrape off what I could with the razor, spray and let it soak, rinse rather repeat)

Citrus air freshener is a good glue remover. It is what I use when cleaning plastics to apply graphics

The sticker remover I linked is citrus based I wonder if the orange hand cleaner would do it also.

I've heard a steamer works great but I have no experience with it or a heat gun...

Steamer and a razor blade. Or hair dryer and a water spray bottle

Spray the window down (tint side)with water. Cover with a black plastic trash bag inside. Let sit in the sun for a couple of hours. Scrape off with a razor. The moisture and black plastic will heat and soften the glue and while messy it’ll come right off.
