Replace carrier or use it

I just took the rear end out of my camaro to put in a new suspension. I have been getting a vibration above 40mph and it seems to be coming from the rear. One leaf spring was bent a little. But when I opened my rear end I saw this....
the pinion doesn't look damaged. I am thinking this was caused by a previous installed gear set. By previous owner, although there seemed to be a fair amount of shavings in the oil. My question is, do you think this could cause vibrations since it spins, and should I replace it?

if it were my personal rig I would run it... I dont think that is your issue.

if your worried about it being out of balance pull it apart and clean it up on the lathe

the shinny part in the picture, you can see it had word down the shape and thickness of the carrier itself, I am gonna check the gear pattern and see how it looks. one of the shocks was a little worse than the other, but not to the point that I would think it would cause any vibrations. I was planning on still using this one and changing out axle bearings, and of course it will have new shocks/coils so that will get rid of the bad leaf and hopefully it will take care of my vibrations. If not, then I think I will swap out the carrier.

The little bit of wear on that carrier isn't going to cause any vibration, especially how slow they rotate.

Is that an old ten bolt? I'd replace the axle before I put a new carrier into it.

Hows the u joints? is the slip yoke on the back of the trans nice and tight or does it wobble around?

It is a old ten bolt. 8.5" 10 bolt. I would like to replace it but don't feel like spending 2500 on a new built set up.
Everything seems good, can't really find any slop or play in anything. At least nothing notice able. I'll probably replace the U joint just so it's new but it seems ok and the driveline shop didn't say it looked bad when I had them shorten and balance it.
