Treadwright seems to have a pretty decent reputation. I'll be running some of their 19.5's when I get around to ordering them. :D

I haven't heard much if they are good or not, but from my experience with semi truck retreads, it's a bad thing, usually they only do a retread because it's cheaper, but thats why you see tire shreds at the side of the road alot, especially in the summer because the heat can make them seperate, and i think wheeling in the summer or hot moab would have the same effect, i would steer clear. I did check them out a couple of weeks ago but i didn't know they were re-treads when i found out i said no despite the low price

Treadwrights are decent. I've had a set on my trail vehicle for about three years (I've got to get out more). No problems.

I also have a set on my daily driver. No problems.

There are several guys that i've seen using them on a national forum that I frequent. They all have great things to say about the tires.

15,000 miles on the left~ 15/32nds / Brand new on the right ~ 19/32nd

In my experience, if that were a real MT/R, it'd have a sh!t-ton of chunking by 15,000 miles...

I'd be real happy with that, especially for the price. :D Those MTR patterns are available in the 19.5's going on the crewcab, too, which is totally awesome.

The guy that took the photo that I posted above did have a massive bulge develop in one of the tires (carcass). He believes that it was actually the re-tread that kept the entire thing from exploding. Treadwright sent him a brand new one at no cost.

I've heard a couple stories like that... but then again, the new Big O's that were on the truck when I got it had the same thing happen, and I lost a fist-sized chunk of one of the other rear tires. ...

I'd like to see the sidewall on that tire... that's what scared me about using retreads

The sidewalls are just original BFG A/T, or M/T's.. You can choose at time of purchase what sidewall/carcass they use.

MT/R clone tread on AT carcass...

From everything that I've heard, I would have ZERO problem running tires from Treadwright. Maybe next tire purchase? Maaaybe, if I go new anyways. Wouldn't be for a year or more though.

I want to say the quote was right around $750 shipped for 6 19.5's... And from all accounts, they seem to wear like iron, which rocks.

These look great, way impressed with the mtr style. Les Schwab used to have an awesome retread. Looked like a mud king or similar. They had an unbeatable warranty. Not sure if they still do, but it may be worth a call. I used to replace them a lot for a guy who hunted cats. He beat them super HARD! Always free replacement.

well i guess they must be better than the semi truck ones so i was wrong from what everyone has said, but have all of these people used the retreads as DD?

Semi-truck retreads are like anything else, 'you get what you pay for'. Cheap retreads will fail, as seen all over America's highways. Not only that, i'd assume massive loads and high miles of travel can also speed up a mediocre retread. I'm no expert, but from what i've read by guys who DD Treadwrights, these are very high quality.
