RME BBQ ?'s

I have been keeping an eye on the Annual BBQ and wondering when we would have some more information on it. I see the date and it is quickly approaching. Does anyone have any ideas as to what time and where yet? Anyone know what the cost is or what should I bring with me? I am going to try and make this one and it is a little difficult to get time off. I know that it is the 29th but, how long should I make plans to stay? That kind of thing. The sooner I know something the easier it is for me to get the time off. I am not trying to be pushy or anything I just would like to know.

It's going to be at the Rotary Park in Moab. The date had to change from Saturday to Friday evening due to a conflict in the park schedule, but also to allow for people to not worry about having to get off the trail so early on Saturday.

More info coming asap. We will have a land use / trail maintenance raffle and online dinner reservations. Prices are to be kept low and reasonable - ALL proceeds from the dinner & raffle are going to an "outstanding club" in Moab for their hard work on trail maintenance and land use.

That is as much info as I can put out right now.

Uh oh, I'm out. I made my arrangements based on the dates on the banner, which STILL says the 29th.....

Looks like Sunset Grill on Saturday, yummay!

Sorry to hear. We didn't want to jump back one day but finding a replacement venue on a Saturday on that weekend with short notice is difficult. We tried, hence the delay in changing the info on the banner.

If things end up working out, it would be good to see you there.

FYI-- For GSW we have used the Rotary park for hte past few years for our meet and greet, but last year we couldn't get it reserved so we switched to the city park. The city park is free, first come and first serve (but there is plenty of room), and it actually worked out REALLY well. Tons of parking to line all the rigs up on the street, some smaller covered areas, trees and lots of park for people and kids to play. I think people actually enjoyed being able to spread out on the grass on blankets or in camp chairs--some people brought frisbees and footballs etc. We're going to have both our meet and greet and the awards banquet at the City Park this year.

You may see me, if you're around the 29th. ;)

Moab is just a one day stop on our trip. Would have been cool to catch up with some folks, but at this point I really can't change plans.... Oh well, at least I got the banner updated?

Oh, just a thought. Not trying to take away from the BBQ, but since most will be in town anywho, if anyone wants to do Saturday dinner at Sunset PM me. I'll contact them and see if they'll stick us in the same corner or something.
