what a blast of a day. Ran the trail. got stuck a few times. broke trail on the upper most part of the trail. got stuck some more. was a wonderfull day.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Sorry about this first one. It's big. But it was a big view.

The next few pics are of the players. Just before I pulled the camera out, we had a rig with some issues (well, it was a Toyota!) so he and the very nice
Zuzoom turned back and went down the trail. Sorry to see them go.

This is what the trial looked like after we went through it. In front of us, there was only a snowmachine track, which didn't do us much good.

The hardest part of the trail was a tight 90 that climbed a steep section. Our trail leader didn't have a winch so we had to get him over
and bring in the next rig which did. In the process of that and the ruts and the side loading, it lost a bead. I was impressed with how well we got it back on.

Once we got to the top, I just had to play a bit. I ran through some untouched powder that was a bit softer then the rest of the snow around.
so I sank to the bottom, sitting on my frame. After I started pulling both rigs with my winch, we started digging. After a bit of that it worked its way out.

So you were able to run the whole trail from the B up Ward Canyon trail to the campground? I wouldn't have thought you could do it with the snow. I wanted to go but had to attend a funeral of my wife's uncle in Garden City (Bear Lake). Looks like I will run it today.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
We made it to the road at the top. It will be much easier going today as the trail is almost a road now. Couldn't ask for better weather.

Was this the first time wheeling in the snow for some of those that went? And is the trailhead where I usually see trucks parked with quad trailers at the start of Skyline Drive?

Well for one it was new. The snow on this trail changes. In the sun it is perfect. IN the shade it sucks. And yes. The trail head starts their. Go up the mud pits and then it goes from their. The first part of the trail can be hard on the passenger. They look right down the hill. One wrong turn and down u go.

All I can say is the snow was deep. I thought Linda and I would have to wait until you guys got to the campground to pull us out of the hole we dug. It was nice to meet you guys.

my buddy russ in the stock 4 runner and his friend with a 85 yota truck have played in the mud but never really wheeled.

it was a good learning experience for them, as for me i have been up wheeling quite a bit but never used a winch so i had to learn some basics of that.
