Guidelines and Rules of Rocky Mountain Extreme


We have updated and simplified the Guidelines and Rules regarding conduct on RME. Please take the time to read this information and apply it, as you interact within our Community.


Our General Principles

We expect that all members of RME will behave in a way that’s respectful to the other members of the community. Each of these three general principles is fundamental to the quality of our site.

Diversity: We’re a community from different backgrounds and with different perspectives on life. At all times, we expect our members to remember and respect that diversity.

Intelligence: We’re a community with quality standards and expect our members will make a sincere effort to contribute their thoughts in a respectful manner. If you do post, be respectful of others by posting meaningfully.

Respectfulness: We expect our member to show respect for others. Respecting their person, their views, their time and their opinions; even if you disagree with them, do it with respect.


Basic Guidelines
The following eight categories of online conduct are unacceptable on RME and constitute a violation of our Community Standards which may result in warning, suspension or loss of membership:

Harassment: Harassment occurs when a member insults or attacks another member at any time. We have zero tolerance for taking an argument to a personal level. For instance, the use of terms such as "idiot, moron, stupid" and other derogatory terms constitutes harassment. Repeated critical and sharply negative posts toward a forum member can also constitute harassment.

Disruption: Posts which intend to disrupt the topic of conversation or steer the topic away from the focus of the forum and related subjects. Disruption can include harassment and posting completely off topic messages.

Vulgarity and Sexual Explicitness: As a community with a diverse variety of members, we ask that our members to post without using vulgarity. Vulgarity not only includes vulgar language and pictures but also sexist, racist, anti-religious and homophobic language which may offend other members.

Solicitation: RME provides opportunities for non-commercial entities to advertise items for sale in the classifieds forums. Businesses and other commercial entities are welcome to advertise their services through the RME vendor program. Out of respect for the vendors supporting RME, commercial entities not participating in the vendor program have no rights to post anything related to their business in any forum, profile, avatar, or signature.

Spamming: Spammers will be dealt with by deleting their posts and the spammers will be banned. Spamming is the multiple posting of an identical or similar post on one or more of our Forums, or unwanted solicitation.

Copyrighted Material: You may post links to appropriate articles but posting articles from other sources in their entirety is a violation of our Community Standards. Use your best judgment, since you agree in the Terms of Use to be held legally responsible for your own posts on this system, but if you must re-post quotes or sentences, please credit the source.

Rating Level: Keep all pictures, attachments, conversations and language at a PG-13 level. Anything above PG-13 will be deleted and the person who posted them may have their membership suspended or removed!

Images in Avatars & Signatures: No 'girly' pics will be tolerated in avatars. Keep your avatars related to 4-wheeling. Also images in signatures are not welcome and will be removed.


Again, disregard to the Guidelines and Principles of Rocky Mountain Extreme may result in the Suspension or Removal of your Membership. Please, think before you post!

Please bear in mind that these are guidelines; there is always a "Grey area" and we understand that. Use your best judgment. If you have any questions, we will be more than happy to answer them. Thank you for your time and willingness to make this place a quality community.

Rocky Mountain Extreme Classifieds use, Rules and Guidelines


In order to help the RME Classifieds run more smoothly and assist both buyers and sellers, we have laid out a few rules that will help the flow of the classifieds for all users. Please read and follow these rules, they will help everyone when they are followed!

Rules: Your ad MUST contain each of the following, or it will be deleted!

• Include a Price and a Location! If you are unsure of your price, list your price high and add "Or Best Offer".
• Post your first name and preferred contact information. (Reply to thread, Private Message, Email, Phone #, etc).
• When your item(s) have sold, follow up by either deleting the ad or posting "Sold" in your thread.

Guidelines: General guidelines to help make buying/selling interactions on RME go smoothly.

• Post Photos of your item! Posting photos is the best way to show exactly what you are selling and its current condition.
• Give a decent description of your item(s) and be HONEST about the condition.
• If you suspect fraud or illegal activity in any person's ad, please report it to a Moderator.

DO NOT:

• Do Not post FEELER ADS. Your item is for sale, or it's not. Feeler ads waste time, are not allowed and will be deleted.
  
• Do not post your classified ad with ONLY a link to another classifieds web site. (examples: KSL, Ebay, etc...) Copy the same info here on RME, otherwise your ad will be deleted.
  
• Do Not post negative comments in another person's ad. If you don't like how the item is priced or you have a problem with the ad, keep it to yourself.
  
• DO NOT ACT AS THE PRICE POLICE. This pertains to the rule above. If you feel that the seller is posting an at an unfair/high price, do not post up about it! Do not post in their ad that you think the price is too high, or that you can get the same item cheaper somewhere else. Handle your debate via email or Private Messaging and not publicly. If you don’t like the price, don't buy it!

Commercial Entities:

• The RME classifieds are a non-commercial zone. If you have a Vendor Account on RME, you may use the Vendor Forums for commercial sales.

By posting or replying to a classified ad on Rocky Mountain Extreme (RME4x4.com), you agree to all of the terms and conditions stated above.

Failure to follow the posted rules will result in deletion of your classified ad at any time, without any warning. Other violations may result in a warning, infraction and/or a ban from RME. Terms of such violations are to be freely interpreted by the administrator or moderator without further dispute. If a moderator asks you to change, move, or delete a post and the request is not handled promptly, the ad(s) will be deleted without notice. Any classified ad posts in blatant violation of the rules and guidelines above will be deleted.
