Had a great run today! I didn't count, but I think we had nine rigs. Got into some good snow wheeling. Most of us got stuck. Me the most :D. Think I got strapped or had to winch like five times, ha-ha! Great weather. Great company. Lots of smiles, laughs. Having kids along was great. Was wanting a turn getting pulled on a sled :D. Scenery was awesome.

Big picture dump!

I had such a blast. I've been trying to get a snow trail in for a long time and this was perfect. Different rigs. Different driving styles. Carnage and strapping. It was as close to a perfect day I could imagine. Thanks for setting this up.

All the mud was at the end of the day leaving out on the main PET. I hate that road when it's wet! Everyone was pretty slopped in it after only a few miles of it. I washed mine last night before it dried on, only took $7 at the car wash, so it wasn't all that bad though.

I'm jealous. Mine was pretty much dried/ frozen after the 2 hour drive on the freeway.

We did not. Got as far as the first crossing of Lee creek at 6,100'. After getting across the creek, Mark was still going pretty good - he had flotation going and no telling how much further he could have gone. I was just plowing down and going nowhere trying to follow him in it though. That was after winching to get up out of the creek.

Flotation keeps you going in that stuff, but it can stab you in the ass too, once you do break through and high center. Good spot to eat and let the kids play then call it a day :).

This trip was awesome! Big thanks to @DAA for putting this together. The weather was perfect, and the snow was a challenge to say the least. It was great to meet new friends, and great to see some familiar ones again too. My family and I had lots of fun - the kiddos were ready to go again today already!

It was a great time! My kids thought the best part was getting stuck so they could sled on the hills while we dug each other out :)

I thought the best part was when the Lady at penny told us, "I have heard that, but I don't have the social internet thing or use on the line much so I am not sure".

Looks like it was a great trip. I really considered it. In the end, chukar hunting won out. Only a couple of weeks until the end of the season and a nice, sunshine day.
Tried a couple of new spots, didn't get into any birds, which is a first, and it took me $30 at the car wash to get the mud off the truck.
