was wondering if anyone has or is currently using Rockstomper beadlocks. My continuing pocket emptying of the "Betty" build-up is at the point when it is time to upgrade to the locks to alleviate the rooling off the bead that I have experienced while running at 8 psi. and below. I am running a 16x8 steel wheel and realize the locks will help. I like the price tag on the Rockstomper locks but don't know anything about them. Any info???? KENNETH !!

Here is a pic of our DIY beadlocked 16's that were built last weekend for Carl's comp. rig. We sell the 15", 16", 17", and 20" rings (usually w/o hardware).

As you probably know, they will ad approx. 1" to 1 1/2" to the width of your existing rim, making your 8" wide rims more like 9" to 9 1/2". That should work well with any tire width I can think of. I'm curious though, what tire are you going to be running?

Not currently, but they are only a couple days out if ordered. We normally only stock the 15's. As 17's become more popular with the "geneeral wheeling public", we'll probably start keeping some on the shelves though.

was thinking of running either 35" or 37" ProComp xterrains. on an 8" rim to keep the tire height.
Rockstomper Beadlocks come with all mounting hardware and attach bolts are countersunk and pan head to reduce rock drag. all for $80. Still sounds pretty good and from what I got from the Rocklogic website, the two rings are almost identical.
Prove me wrong to keep it local!

No cash up front neccessary if you know you want 'em... Let me check current pricing, and I'll PM ya a price. Hopefully they haven't been affected by rising steel prices yet. :)

well, actually the Rockstomper for $80 is a Hexhead bolt not counter sunk...as it says farther down his page, "Countersunk flat head cap screws available for $30 extra per lock kit. Countersunk beadlock kits come pre-countersunk for the flat head screws." so you are now upto $110 per wheel, and if you want button head bolts add another $10 a wheel...

I am willing to bet money Rocklogic can atleast match Rockstompers price, but then you dont have shipping on top of it (which will be about $15-$20 a set if not more);)

So you're working for Rocklogic now eh? That's good, I've been meaning to get over there for that past month now. See ya soon.
I saw the buggy in St. George, looked like you guys did well.

So far as locks go, I second the Rocklogic rings, good guys there.

I have two sets of the doityerself beadlocks. A set of 15s and a set of 16s I just barely built for the Maxxis tires. They are great. I took pics when I built the 16s, and I'm gonna post a detailed how-to soon.
