EPIC trip!
Good friends, 2 Toyotas and 2 Jeeps.

My damage:
Bent tie rod
Crushed steering stabilizer
Broken f/r shock (leaking bad)
Broken rear shock mount (welded in camp)
Minor driver’s rear fender scuff

Felt like I scraped every skid plate and piece of metal from the doors down.
High centered twice and rubbed the belly several times- this thing is long and needs a skosh more lift.
No axle or ujoint breakage!! Drove the whole trail and then 500 miles home.

The food was incredible and the company great. I took my wife and 2 boys and we all want to go back. :D

A few shots my son took of our JK:

Thanks all.
Like most of us, I have talked about running the Rubicon for years.
Seeing Ian's report a few years back really got me wanting to do it and when an old friend said "let's just GO or we'll keep on talking about it", my awesome wife agreed and we set a date.

I am hoping to make it an every other year trip with the HITR, Blanding or another multi-day closer trip on the off years.

We did it midweek and there was very little traffic on the trail.

I'm jealous Alan, the JK is in it's element on the Rubicon! Looks like a great trip, thanks for sharing the experience with us. :)
