X2 with Herzog. I will be leading and gunning in my buggy this year. It's what I have to drive and it will do. I will work it out so I don't inconvenience anyone. I know it won't break and although I can prolly do the trails in 2wd I will still have a ball. When not on organized runs I will be running the harder stuff.

I bring my buggy to the Safari because I love the atmosphere. I love the crowds and seeing all the different rigs. I stay off the trails RR4W is on, but I do register for a couple trails each year to support RR4W and what they do for Moab wheeling.

Plus its the only way to get a raffle ticket ;)

I agree the buggy's can't really do the trails and it inconveniences the trail leaders and RR4W if they do attempt to join the trail rides, but that doesn't mean buggy's should stay away from EJS.

I go to Moab in my buggy for the challenge, the scenery and outside of EJS for the seclusion. Sounds to me like I have common ground with people who join the official trails, just like I have in the past.

Don't tell me we shouldn't go to EJS because I have a buggy. I've been going to EJS for many, many years now and every time I go I donate money directly to the RR4W Mud Fund. I used to go on the official trails and I have family that still does. I make it a point to not go on the official trails on the days that RR4W will be on out of respect.

I like you, you're a good person... but your attitude about this pisses me off. I'm just as comfortable on an easier going trail as I am on anything in BFE. It's not all about "bashing rocks", that's the stereotype that's hurting this sport/hobby.

I didn't tell him to do anything, I merely suggested that he go down another time to avoid the crowds if he wanted to run more buggy oriented trails. If you are interested in running the EJS trails, then by all means head on down.
Sorry to ruffle your feathers Shane.

I don't mind buggies on the trail with me. The only time they are ever a problem is if they get bored and start climbing stuff that is not part of the approved trail. People not in buggies have done that too - - so it's a people problem not a vehicle problem.

Utah has some pretty tight rules anyway - you should see what passes for street legal in some states. Like Oklahoma. If the lights work you can plate it there.

We hardly ever see stock flat fenders anymore. They just can't keep up on the road. We lost one older couple when we started making jeeps have roll bars - they had wheeled it for 40 years without one and got offended that we wanted them to get one.

I did get riled up a bit about it. But every year you make this your agenda. No big deal I guess.
