runs funny at full temp??

A friend asked me this. Anybody had this happen to them??

''Tell me if you have heard of this problem in jeeps. When my jeep reaches full temp it starts to lug or cut out when I accelerate. what should I be looking for? It acts as though I have bad gas..''

remember when I had the I6 in Betty. Whenever I got to temp, it would lug. It ended up being the catalytic converter was plugged. this is easy to fix, just stuff a prybar through it or replace it. OR, swap in a Chevy 350

THE JEEP IS A 98 jeep Cherokee 6 cylinder

like fattdog said, I would deffinitely look at the cat...take it to a shop and see if its plugged...
